Jessica Alba
Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress and
businesswoman. When she was thirteen she started acting in television and
movies. Her first appearance was in Camp Nowhere (1994) and The Secret World of
Alex Mack (1994). However her fame began was at the age of 19, when she was the
lead actress of Dark Angel (2000-2002), where she was nominated for an award
called a Golden Globe. Her biggest screen debut came with the film Honey
(2003). She soon became an established star in Hollywood and has appeared in
several box office hits including Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four : Rise
of the Silver Surfer (2007) and Good Luck Chuck (2007). 9She is a frequent
collaborator with Robert Rodriguez. She has starred in Sin City (2005) and
Machete (2010). Alba starred from 2019 to 2020 in Spectrum's action-crime
series L.A. Finest. Alba co-founded The Honest Company (a consumer goods
business that sells items for personal, household and babies) in the year 2011.
Magazines like Men's Health as well as FHM and Vanity Fair included her among
their lists of the most beautiful women. Jessica Marie Alba was born in Pomona,
California, on April 28, 1981 to Catherine Louisa (nee Jensen) and Mark David
Alba. Her maternal grandparents are both Mexican immigrants are of Danish, Welsh
German, English and French descent. Joshua, her younger brother is also hers.
Gustavo Arellano, her third cousin, is also her first cousin. Her father's Air
Force career took her family to Biloxi in Mississippi and Del Rio Texas before
she settled back in Claremont California when she was nine. Alba says that her
family is a conservative, traditional, Catholic, Latin American family. Alba
describes herself as liberal and says that she identified as a feminist as
early as five years old.
